Cigularova says that international students' relationships with host nationals have positive effect on their psychosocial adjustment. However, it's hard to have those relationship so it's necessary for school creating programs to develope them.
Assertiveness is one of the key factors to succeed in the U.S. not only academically but also socially. Academic self-efficacy is also useful too. To support international graduate students, instructing them the U.S. educational system and life will be very helpful.
