1. My favorite teacher was math-tutor from junior high to high school. I met her at private school at first and she taught me ther for three years. When I entered the high school, my friends and me organized a group and asked her to teach us again.
I liked her consistency above all. I had known her for 6 years. She had been same all the time.
It's not like she had skill at talking and she looked rigorous and not fun to be with for young girl-students. However, her explanation about math problems was very clear. Whenever we learn a new chapter, she explained a concept and gave us formula we needed. She put main emphasis on doing homework. What her theory was that even a smart student who understands formula very fast and who didn't learn it by repeating will forget that fast or can not apply at their exams. I wasn't sure how much I could rely on her philosophy but I had had satisfactory outcomes and I felt that all had compensated my efforts.
I still don't know what made her so special to me. But for me, she is the best teacher I ever had. She didn't really force me to study but I never missed her classes and did all the homeworks. Although there was no penalties and no special compensation from that class, it was always on the top of my priority. I think she had some techniques to deal with students.
